Dreams Poem by Sarah Elizabeth Clark

Dreams

Rating: 5.0

I'll meet you with a packed lunch
And we'll take the train to any old place,
Racing away from the people we should be.

On the road there's you and me
And the thoughts shared between us,
All we are is quite enough.

The only thing I'll ever need is your touch
How it erases where I have been,
To make me new again, less fragile and afraid.

To honey coloured days
Where we tend to the saplings of our dreams,
Enrapt with the world we have seen.

In awe of our own simplicity
How nice to love so freely,
Whole heartedly, not weakly.

We will disappear, away from
The trappings that keep us here,
Reality, where our hopes are stale.

Never fear my love and never fail.

Lovely writing with a powerful message. We should all try to move from stale hopes to the people we should be.
