I saw you in my dream,
Understanding what you mean.
It is hard for me to accept,
But a promise I have kept.
To let you go and be free
From me.
I hope one day you see
How much you mean to me.
But I will let you be…
And this I foresee…
The future is bright
Within sight
No more shadows and secrets
So far, so near, let’s-
Be happy
And full of glee.
I’m still healing from the scars,
Opening up all the jars,
And letting out the pain,
To let it all wane.
I’ll always remember you
And this I knew…
You loved me and I loved you,
This I can say, is so true.
