Dr. Suess Crops Poem by Mike Smith

Dr. Suess Crops

Rating: 5.0

Some days for some reasons
I think in some rhymes
And it comes and it goes
or it lasts for long times
Though I can't quite control it
no I can't tell it 'stop'
So I reach for my pen
to plant Dr. Seuss crops

That damned Kelly has a terrible responsibility. He also encouraged me to write limericks and haiku and senryu and tanka. Don't let Bri bug you he thinks he is an editor and has to be told off once in a while. Nice guy tho

No I can't blame that lisping on my keyboard as it is fully functional. Smiff, I decided, was the easier choice. Since there are several mike smiths on the site, I needed to either come up with something a little less common, or send a message to poem hunter listing all mike smiths and asking to be added to their ranks. I urge you not to shoot your computer! As it will not change my phrasing but merely cost you some coin to replace. That said, I appreciate your suggestions and I might make a few revisions so as to prevent anyone else from attacking their screen. Thank you Bri. Your commentary proves(almost) as entertaining as your poems. Humor is too great a thing to be used sparringly

I like Dr. Seuss, but many times rhymes don't work well. Yours is great however

Thanks Michael. He was a childhood favorite, and remains so today

I know we talked about this just the other day. I love that you not only made a poem out of the thought, but that you made such a good one and with a delightful title. Keep up the good work, Mike. Do you feel your brain growing yet? : -)
