Don'T Look At Me That Way Poem by Sherri Vogel

Don'T Look At Me That Way

At the present moment
I'm nervous as can be
As if you haven't noticed
As if you couldn't see.
You're standing there in front of me
Staring deep into my eyes
And my heart seems to be breaking
As my dream just slowly dies.
I just wanted to say goodbye
And wish all the best to you
It's just something in my life
I was sure I had to do.
Because for years I longed to meet you
But decided not to try
And when I finally got the chance
It ended with goodbye.
So here I stand in front of you
Feeling sad today
And all that I can say is
'Don't Look At Me That Way.'
