Don'T Blame God Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

Don'T Blame God

Rating: 5.0

Don't blame God
For the enemies
Who on our land did tred.

Don't blame God
Who his only begotten
Son did give,
So mankind could be redeemed
And live.

Don't blame God for the
Killer within some men,
This wasn't in the master plan,
Nor was sin...

Don't blame God for
The tears we shed...
When did we forget,
That he is the Head? We took away the prayer,
His son gave us to pray,
'Our Father who art in Heaven'
We no longer say.
It's been declared against the rules,
No longer to be said in our schools.

Now you want to blame God,
Some question his love,
Some raise an angry fist
To the heaven's above.

Though we scoff at his rule to
Treat our neighbors as we want
To be treated,
We blame him and
The sins are repeated.

'Take them dead or alive' we chant,
Words that blister that we won't recant.
We ask God to strengthen us in the
Destruction of our fellow man,
Bless us as we kill them we demand.

Don't blame God for man's
Inhumanity to man,
The ruler of this world is satan.

Don't blame God
For the wrath of men,
Unto whom free will was given,
It was man's plan,
Not God's plan,
For the heart ache of 9-11.
