Don't Abort Me Poem by louis rams

Don't Abort Me

Please mother don't abort me- there is so much
In life that I want to see
You feel you made a mistake and you're too young to carry
And my father does not want to marry.
But how can you take my life when you've yet to see
All the beauty that's inside of me.
I have hopes, aspirations, dreams just like you
Giving me that chance is what you should do.
This life you are carrying in your womb
Can not end, it's much too soon.
This tube that is connecting me to you is my life support
Which gives me oxygen and food to sustain my life
If you're willing to make this sacrifice.
This is just a Childs cry -"it's up to you whether I live or die."
You can still follow your dreams and reach your goals
Your perseverance will unfold.
There isn't anything in life that you can't do
You just have to follow through
My life will give you the strength to overcome
And GOD S will - will be done!
Please don't abort me - don't let me die
You can be a surrogate if you don't want to try.
