Do You Ever Get That Feeling? Poem by Rhiannon Parvin

Do You Ever Get That Feeling?

Do you ever get that feeling?
The one that gives you the chills,
That heeby-jeeby feeling?

Do you ever get that feeling?
That feeling that you are being watched.
Like there are invisible eyes all around you,
Always watching, always seeing everything.
Especially when it is dark outside
And you are alone but you get the feeling
That you really aren't alone,
That there is someone there,
Like there is someone standing right behind you,
Or maybe hiding behind the bush across the street?

People may say you are paranoid
That it's all in your head,
Maybe there isn't anyone watching, and you really are alone,
But then again, maybe there is...
You will never know.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I am kinda paranoid, so at one point my step-mom told me I was crazy for being so paranoid. So I decided to write this poem and post it to see if anybody else is as paranoid as me. Feel free to comment! Be brutally honest, I just submitted this poem for a poetry contest to win a college scholarship.
