Do I Have Your Love? Poem by Rose Marie Cook

Do I Have Your Love?

Tell me you don't love me
And I will walk out of your life
Forever. If you can tell me that
Then I'll finally know, but you can't

Say it, then you'd be lying to yourself
So you're really going to let them
Dictate who you're with, who you Love?
I feel sorry for you.

I'm about to walk away, the one you
Love, you gave me away for them!
I feel sorry because whoever they
Choose for you to be with; for you to Love
You're not going to want, what you want is

Right here! In front of you!
And they object to it, to your
Happiness. The one they choose
You will never Love, just tolerate.

And the one they want for you
Will never Love you, you can't
Force someone to Love you and
You can't Love someone without their Love in return.

It goes both ways.
So tell me, are you going to let them
Dictate your Love? Cause you have my Love,
Do I have yours?
