Division Poem by Hardik Vaidya

Division

Your not having paid attention in class
Could cost humanity greviously
Was never contemplated by the brightest peers
And that your straying during basic arithmetic lessons,
101 on principles of reduction by division,
Will lead to the torrent of 911s
A billion cries for help, screams from the gutter of human gut
Piercing the otherwise silent plastic lives and loves,
The odd steaming cups of cofee in leaking styrofoam cups
Shaking shuddering
How much more
Narrow miniscule invisible
Would the minds of people you lead
Will divide as if a meiosis process gone runaway
Half minds generating quarters
As infinitum
