Distance, Words, And Love Poem by Revanth Badadha

Distance, Words, And Love

In the still of night, when stars do shine,
And longing heart beats to a steady rhyme,
My thoughts do wander to my dearest love,
Whose sweet embrace I cannot now have.

Though distance keeps us far apart,
And words and touch do no longer start,
The memory of your sweet smile and grace,
Is enough to light up my dark space.

In dreams I see you, so near and true,
Your gentle voice, a lullaby so soothing too,
My heart beats fast, with the thought of you,
And all my worries and troubles, just melt like dew.

But for now, my dear, I will have to wait,
Till we meet again, and break free from fate,
Till then, know that my love for you, is true and great,
And nothing can ever change, our love's undying state
