Did You See That? Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Did You See That?

Did you see that?
A train with people crouching on top?
I saw a beggar's glance,
Looking up at me from the pavement.

Did you see that?
A girl with an amputated leg?
She's lays in a hospital bed,
A bed that looks sad.

Did you see that?
The face of one who lost his job,
And the affects of his family?
They all look so afraid?

Did you see that?
That nuclear reactor plant,
And those living in the city near it?
Did you see the radioactivity?

Did you see our world explode?
