Dethroned Poem by Chukwuma Adione

Dethroned

You returned to take me all the time,
you always took me back to the valley
where you made mockery of my faithfulness
and my feet,
calling me names of the forgotten me
i thought you had the power
now i read from divine verses
that all you have is dethroned might
i am above you and a thousand of you
listen, before the foundations of the earth
i belong to the mountains, yes
next time you arrive at the peak of me
i will put you to remembrance of your might
dethroned.
