56 Times (Nigeria @ 56)
The gospel of green
and the testimony of white
has been told 56 times
the land has harvested grain,
pressed fine wine, explored fruitful wells
nowadays, even the babes know the character
of the drunken dollar that is north bound
and its effect on their sweets and biscuits
though we can make this annoying reality
flee in 56 ways, only if we choose to live
56 times over and over again.
