Destroying Their Own Nests Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Destroying Their Own Nests

It should no longer,
To anyone these days amaze.
That there are those who initiate conflicts.
Will also be the same folks campaigning,
To be innocent and victimized,
By others they have lied upon.
This is nothing new to view.
Or come as a shock to the ones who are not,
Donating their minds to vacancy.
This act is clear to the ones,
Conscious with minds filled to capacity.
Listening to who excuses themselves,
For being misunderstood to do evil.
These creatures are everywhere these days.

And coming to their defense,
Rushing to them out of breath.
Made convinced of their innocence.
Are the ones who empathize.
With tears welling up in their eyes.
Not to realize...
They have been duped and hoodwinked.
Done by those with skills specialized,
In the use of deception at its best!
As if black widow spiders!
Testing this effect by destroying first,
Their own nests.
From North, South, East and West...
These creatures are everywhere,
Claiming to be victimized...
While poisoning first with a thirst,
Those quick to trick.
Dupe and seduce.
