Desire Poem by indira babbellapati

Desire

Rating: 3.3

i nurse it
i nurture it
at times
i neglect it
whatever i do
it coils uncoils
it sinks floats
it soothes stabs
it titillates threatens
it perpetually tickles
the insides
with the flutter of a wing

since times immemorial!

'It perpetually tickles the insides with the flutter of a wing'. What a wonderful description, Indira! Yes, desire is always there, we just don't always choose to acknowledge it. A lovely, very simple yet profound write - love it!

What a beautiful confession of your 'desire'. A provocative write. You make me feel as if 'desire' is like an unforgiven wound, perpetual in the nature of things.Desires...Hopes...Dreams... ahhhh! this life! I tell you! Enjoy this poem. Blessings. Leonard
