Desert By The Sea Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Desert By The Sea

Rating: 5.0

I've become a desert with free will
You wait for something in me
Silence is a well for my quill
I write of you like a great vast sea

Reflect the light within
Decisions lead the path
Searching for friends
Something that lasts

What we share is what rules
The old and the new change places
How we care is the new truth
Like the sun and moon change faces

The azure eyes of dawn see the end
Eternal fire cries for the stars
We thirst for water around each bend
Venus shines tonight from afar

I must search the sky each day
Love is a road into the unseen
You and I are souls in clay
Desert by the sea dust and eternity
