Departed Poem by Alex Cairnie

Departed

Rating: 2.5

No one remembers you,
but today I did.
You were just a boy
In a man's world.
They didn't see it in you
but it was there
like a bell ringing...
and then you departed.

I remember your eyes
dead like a sharks:
Black like the abyss of night

and still,
even now when I wake,
no one remembers you.
Today, I do.
