Decisions On A Summer Day Poem by Joe Filipiak

Decisions On A Summer Day

Deep in thought
with friends nearby,
ducks that swim
and birds that fly.

What to do
this lazy day;
should I fish
or should I play?

No shirt, no socks,
not one shoe;
contemplating
what to do.

Tough decision
to be made
by a boy
in second grade.

One thing missing
that I can see
I need a dog
to sit with me
