Let Me Inside Poem by Joe Filipiak

Let Me Inside

Rating: 5.0

I knocked on your door
there was no reply
you wouldn't answer
and I wondered why

I wanted to come in
but you shut me out
no time for me
too busy no doubt

I kept knocking
I wouldn't leave
you kept saying
"I just don't believe"

There's no door knob
on the outside
nothing to turn
to let Me inside

It's been up to you
right from the start
to open the door
that leads to your heart

I'll be there
when you decide
to open your heart
and let Me inside
