Deception Poem by Louise Walker

Deception

Laying under the foggy morning sky,
Listening to the wind howl by,
Relaxing, almost like a dream.

We felt no breeze nor cold, for we
Had each other. Nothing could defeat us.
We were as strong as could be.

But, you may be deceived. Not
everything is as it first seems.
Mother and daughter lay side by side as
Their emotions start to glide

Further and further away. Further
To a far away place. No, further than that.
