Death (Senryu) Poem by Sandra Martyres

Death (Senryu)

Rating: 5.0

The death of a friend
Can leave one devastated
Fate is often cruel

Death robs you of friends
When you least expect it to
Anger fills the void

Why do the good guys
Have to suffer and die young
While the crooks survive

Fate is often cruel...Anger fills the void..You have concluded the first two with strong statements....my answer to your question in the third one is...'they are let alive only to be punished severely....sensible write....and I feel sorry for that friend...thanks for sharing this

This is an excellent senryu triplet, Sandra, perfect in syllable count in each poem, and very well expressed as well. Though not the most pleasant of subjects, you wrote three very impressive senryu poems. Carl.
