Death: A Quick And Subtle Shock Poem by Hebert Logerie

Death: A Quick And Subtle Shock

Death is a quick and subtle shock
An event that no one can mock
Death always comes as a surprise
Like an unwanted or undesired prize.

Death is a forced trip
That no one wants to take
The subject is drowned in the lake
An accident than no one can fake.

With eyes shut and sealed lips
The victim is mute, blind, deaf
And immobile. An unhumorous theft
Has taken place in the valley of death.

Death is a sad and serious matter
It is everywhere, standing at the corner
Like a quick electrical shock
That no one can avoid and mock.
