Deadship Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Deadship

Am I supposed to trust you?
When you should know I know where you've been
tell me where do you expect us to go
Don't just leave me in suspense

There is no maybes, baby
then you look at me like i'm crazy
There is no way you can love me
When you do the things you do
You tell your lies to me
oh yeah
Thinking I would be naive
Not one word said is believed

Back then I didn't know you
now you've got me solving cases
every move, you leave behind a trail
which leads to unimaginable places

No you don't, no you don't, no you don't, You don't love me
and you can't, and you can't, and you can't tell me any different
A box filled of emptiness isn't a heartfelt gift
shouldn't you know? You're not even considerate

Thought this was passed us but we revisit it again
old problems become new problems we've overcame
least that's what I thought, I can't believe this
we're back here again, no, not this again.
