Dead Poem by Harthman Carpio Munteanu

Dead

Rating: 1.5

And even though I looked at you
And past my hand upon your face
I never thought I could receive
This harsh from you and haste

I could imply more other reasons
But only this one held my mind:
How could I ever – in God’s name –
Let myself grow so blind?

And like the fumes that grow from tombs,
Within six years, you shattered me
You left me lay without a word
For the firs passerby

And like the fumes that grow from tombs
And scattered as the rain
I closed my eyes and sworn to God
I’ll never wake again.
