Days In October Poem by Cynthia Aluning

Days In October

Rating: 5.0

Beguiled with awe the warmth I feel
waking up oh! so cold in October breeze
as thoughts of memories weave my soul
reading from someone once regarded 'foe'

stood with dread the first time we've met
a man of critiques to a fighter egoist me
negativity lands fresh on first impression
isolating myself for more communication

sanguine about the positive changes of time
flowing abound wonders of electronic staircase
impressed with the rise of Steve to Stephen
thanks! I foresee a new friendship dawning...

that is...

browbeaten!

bulldozed!

antagonized!

words spoken minimal
cut deep like a knife...

thanks! I thank my ego
you lose your honor!

Again, a wonderful use of imagery, also the construction of this piece is magnificent.
