Darkness Of Soul - Wedding In War Zone Poem by Nhat Thuy Vi

Darkness Of Soul - Wedding In War Zone

Tears streaming down on her face
She folds their name in two words ‘Viet-Nam’
To decorate the night sky – a thousand flares be traced
With the deafening guns sound -
how her wedding joy was embraced!

translation from Vietnamese poem:

Bóng Tối Tâm Hồn
(Đêm Tân Hôn)

Lệ chảy nửa dòng lệ khô đọng lại
Em ghép tên mình - hai tiếng Việt Nam
Đêm giăng hoa-đèn muôn nghìn trái sáng
Đạn liên thanh dòn thay pháo vu-qui
