Night with my love

Sleep, my love, have a nightfull sleep!
sights of war, do not let it touch you dreams
how barely you have lived in the past, in jungles deep!
returning now, only with time,
and me, in a measure by threads

images of you, my love, how to keep
deep in my eyes, and sweet by my lips
for knowing the life you carry, is a constant thread
and how simple yearning, a lullaby, you, to miss!

Sleep, my love, a song for you
I sang with sweetness
Brushed my face against yours, why do I feels so sad?
The coarsness of your hair, the lines on forehead
or the scars of war ploughed deep,
and still imprinted on your chest?

Sleep, tonight, my love, sleep!
My deepest of sorrow, and my sweetest of love
I will sing for you - keep you in sleep
The late moon shadowing your face
Together with me, we cover
the reality of war - still exploding its earthly shakes!

Holding you in my arms, go to sleep!
I will shade the flares just blooming in the sky
War! don’t enter my darling’s eyes
Do not cloud his mind, nor touch his life
Anh hold yourself back, war, even just tonight!

Đêm Với Người Yêu

Hãy ngủ đi anh đêm nay cho tròn giấc
Đừng để chiến tranh len đến mộng lành
Mười tháng trong rừng kiếp sống mong manh
Nay trở lại với ba mươi giờ phép

Bóng hình yêu em thu vào mắt hẹp
Nhuộm ân tình bằng những chiếc hôn say
Ngày tháng đi qua chinh chiến miệt mài
Ai ru ngủ giữa rừng sâu gió bụi

Hãy ngủ đi anh tiếng mềm trong hờn tủi
Mái tóc khô cằn nhuộm thắm phong sương
Đạn cày vai anh vết tich chiến trường
Em gục mặt vào lòng anh xa xót

Hãy ngủ đi anh những lời ru thơm ngọt
Em đợi chờ, chờ đợi để trao anh
Trăng ngoài song treo lơ lững trên cành
Anh ngon giấc giữa cơn mù lửa đạn

Em ôm mặt để che vùng trái sáng
Vừa thi nhau nở rộ giữa trời đêm
Để cho anh giấc ngủ được êm đềm
Quên biển lửa những ngày về hậu tuyến.
