Danseys Pass - Dedicated To Taylor Poem by Autumn Asrai

Danseys Pass - Dedicated To Taylor

So I went to a beautiful place
that I loved more than gold or black lace
to see a special tree
that had not noticed me
yet I loved him not just for his face

I went with my friend and her loved ones
though we knew we would not see much bright sun
but we swam everyday
even if there was rain
then off to the showers we'd run

And we played some fantastical games
mancala and jenga their names
but we learnt all the moves
so we changed all the rules
so the winner was not the first move played

But my favorite game of them all
american eagle twas called
up off the ground we were picked
though we squirmed and we kicked
and sometimes the hurt kids would bawl

In that game it was good to be fast
though your energy did not always last
and at the end me and you
were still left to get through
and they were all very hard to get past

Then one day to the end we had got
and you turned and said 'He's kinda hot! '
At you he liked to stare
and this interest you shared
since then you talk of him alot

So we found out that his name was Kyle
and swimming with him made you smile
we know you liked him alot
enough to jump the $20 spot
although TBH it did take you a while

Then suddenly it was our last night
and our hearts both fell from a height
so we decided to do
something slightly untrue
which probably wasn't quite right

With the guys we left our beloved ping pong room
only light source: the camera with great zoom
so we talked for a while
mainly Taylor and Kyle
Then out of the dark your mother did loom

She freaked us all out when she came
I bet that the guys felt the same
'You could've been killed! '
she would've been thrilled
and she told us that we were to blame

But your dad was especially quiet
I guess he didn't want to cause a riot
he just sat there and read
'Seriously? We could've been dead! '
I don't understand why he's like that

But we went inside anyway
and decided to sleep straight away
cos if we were caught again
even hands round a pen
i'm sure we'd not see one more day

The next morning we got up quite early
once again Taylor's hair was quite curly
off to brush our teeth we went
but ended up at Kyle's tent
cos Tay had to get his # cos she's girly

Somewhere on the way back you dropped your toothbrush
and we searched in a massive rush
in the end it was found
lying somewhere on the ground
under our feet the dirt was all mush

So we packed up and left Dansey's Pass
though I'd got quite attached to the grass
we couldn't stay there that day
I was ready to leave anyway
but that place had me in quite a trance
