Daisy Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Daisy

Daisy

The daisy in the field of flowers
Mesmerized me
With it's colorful but simple beauty.
It was meant to be.

I plucked one of the flowers
And the other objected.
That was not supposed to be
After spring showers.

I put the daisy down.
I realized the flowers were right.
So I thought about what I had done.
I thought about it day and night.

So God has made nature to be
He has made it to see.
We are not to alter it.
We don't need to touch it.
