Cyber Agony Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Cyber Agony

Rating: 5.0

Cyber agony got me hurt.
My Internet grabbed my hand pulling me in.
Whizzing through electronics and what not.
I reached an opinion of the state of our world.

I flew so quickly and in wooshes and swooshes,
Reading messages from lovers, friends and businesses.
My eyes now were glued to the pretty pictures inside the Net.
I wondered about file contents and their security.

But when my cyber man inside screen,
Pulled me out on time,
I jumped-up, ran away and hid behind a tree.
I so wanted to come back out from a computer.

Well, it was a world of worlds living together,
At the same time.
From the bakery on the corner to the Google of the Earth,
This Internet held everything from death to birth.
