Cry Poem by Anthony Spiros Mcgilvra

Cry

She sits and sighs with tears in her eyes
She feels no joy she was living a lie
Now that lie is gone the truth hurts more
Her heart is broken her chest is sore
its hard to breath cuz she breathed for him
She’s all alone he’s gone like the wind
He was her truth her only desire
He grasped her heart and set it on fire
Then left her dying with an icy kiss
Turned away and vanished in the mist
Her light is fading her veins turning cold
This pain will pass or so she was told
But it won’t go away his touch still lingers
She was holding heaven it slipped through her fingers
Now in despair she drowns in her tears
Her sweetest dreams now becoming her fears
'Come back to me' she whispers in the night
but there’s no reply there’s still no light
Nothing can mend her broken heart
cuz he took her soul and tore it apart
if she hates him once she loves him twice
She gambles with the devil and rolls the dice
Always a loser never a winner
In this game called love with saints and sinners
She looks in the mirror, tears running down
She tries to smile but there’s only a frown
a monster in the reflection an unwanted soul
He stole her light he swallowed her whole
No reason to breathe no reason to laugh
Her life was him but he’s lost in the past
She sits and sighs and prays to the sky
'Give me love or let me die'
