Contaminating Lust Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Contaminating Lust

Crushed.
Into a mixture of dust.
This accepted sniffing of madness.
A few minds to have been poisoned,
Contaminated yet rush...
To their own homes to infest,
Those known and condoning...
A taste of that which kills themselves.
As they lust in a craving,
For more of it.
Addicted they become.
Until this sickness is welcomed.

Truth offends,
To them heard to hear it.
Truth heard for them,
Is the enemy to defend against.
Leaving the ones most victimized,
By lies told to them sold to buy...
Disbelief their own suffering and anguish.
In a denial that defies,
The truth and proof of evidence produced.
While their friends and family,
And close neighbors die.
Trying with futile attempts,
Yet unable to convince...
It is deception that has created,
Their deluded minds to lust...
Upon a feeding of poison.
More trusted,
Than truth that eliminates...
Illnesses of all kinds.
