Condemn Poem by Sugar Bear

Condemn

Your remarriage seemed, such a short time ago
Where you promised a new beginning our family would grow
Cuddling by the fireplace, with mom’s hot cocoa to keep us warm
Seemed to erase and drift away in a violent storm
Full of anger, cursing, and a cop or two
Till your love was lost again in the skies of blue
Where you’d smile for the camera, but frowned with your hearts
And now you've choose to plan apart
Goodbye may seem forever, farewell is like the end
If I say goodbye to either, my heart will condemn
My mothers arms that cured tears of my fathers belt burns
My fathers heart that cured scars of my mothers words
And Life without the other would be tragic
Like hearing the T.V, but seeing static
As a child we believed our parents met like a fairytale
That had come true from tossing penny’s in the same well
Now that we’re older and their secrets reveal
You understand what wounds never healed
My mothers disappearance, or my fathers flee of fame
Keep them apart until I was 7 of age
Now they’ve been strong here, for near 10 years
But now their love has far from wearied
Our days together without confusion are numbered
All the way until the next two summers
When I will then, be off for college
And that is when they’ll meet the line of their bondage
A dream they’ll step over, lies deep in the my heart
Even though I’ll be going, they promised to never depart
Like as a little girl, I wish their love was real
I wish they could relive the love they did feel
So goodbye may seem forever, farewell is like the end
And If they say goodbye to each other, my heart will condemn
