Colors Of Life Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Colors Of Life

Taking chances, playing games, charging and winning, yet
memories fade away over time and we forget how we used to
fight and stand up for one another when younger.

Hearts bound across the miles, countries coming together,
but only through people standing and uniting, a force no
one can defeat or win over.

We all are family, nothing else matters in the end, so
take up the cause of world peace and stand as one, pick-
ing up those who have fallen and given up hope.

Through your love and faith, helping to give them the
strength to carry on, joining us all in 'colors of life',
uniting for peace throughout the world.

It begins with each one of us individually and collectively
together this moment in time, no other.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

THIS MOMENT IN TIME, NO OTHER - that's the essence of it - as mortal beings, we must take the mioment itself to accomplish what good we can because we never know how many moments remain for us. In this poem the best aspects of family life - which despite setbacks and conflicts is still characterized by deep love - becomes the model for world peace. A human family - the Family of Humanity: it's the small picture and the big picture.
