City Poem by John Mccudden

City

Rating: 5.0

I love this dear green place
People say you have another face
But to me you’re my home
No other place I love to roam

Please look up see the face
Beautiful architecture in place
People from all different places
A city for many races

Once they named you no mean city
Little did they know you’re so pretty
You have changed your dirty ways
The Clyde has salmon swimming these days

So to you who would condemn
Now is now and then was then
So please take a look again
And then you can see the change

A city that never sleeps
Neon lights taxi cabs
Yes the night life is fab

So if you visit stay a while
Laugh with the people
Be amazed by their style
Pleas please stay a while
