Choosing To Dissect Respect Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Choosing To Dissect Respect

If truth can be...
No longer respected to accept.
Or kept protected to defend.
By those willing to enjoy,
The process of destroying...
What is left of its integrity.
Those choosing to dissect,
Truth into pieces.
To believe this activity,
Keeps them above the rest of humanity.
Have not yet to feel the affects,
Of how effective their perspective of life...
Awaits to prove,
Ruining the lives of others...
Also devastates the lives,
They once knew too!
Leaving no one immuned from a choice to choose,
Stupidity over common sense to use.

"Are you calling 'me' stupid! ? "

Trust me,
The evidence of it speaks for itself.
If you can not see this to accept,
For yourself...
Any argument you want to start,
Over facts produced and the truth of them...
You may win.
But don't expect me to defend your ignorance.

"Oh.
So now I'm ignorant? "

That too if kept,
Speaks for itself.
And only time can tell you that.
If time is left for you to listen.
With a paying attention to give it to learn,
Observation has its benefits.
More with eyes and ears.
Than a mouth left opened.
Unable to close to hear or see a thing!
