Choices To Make Poem by Ace Of Black Hearts

A new beginning not by choice.
Tell me is this mic on can you hear my voice.
We never had a choice.
It's not a time to rejoice.
Terraforming new world.
With a gun and a bullet we continue destroy.
Even with so many facts known.
How do you change the hearts and minds of a population with no interest in it.
Do you beg, do you plead, do you attempt to bribe.
How do you change a narrative with so many lies.
Told over and over again by those who continue to get cameras eyes.
Conspiracies will be our demise.
Experts should lead way, but instead their silenced in one way or another.
But why, to benifit whom.
In the short term the words loom.
A storm is coming it closer then we think.
If only measured steps were taken.
But instead we keep pushing it off like it will never happen.
Some distant future we won't be alive to see.
Lite a candle and pray that the people in power change their ways.
Because in the end if we continue to wait soon we will be all doomed.
An uninhabitable planet, something straight out of science fiction.
An unimaginable out come to most.
Our belief in humanity making the right choice till the very end.
The crisis viewed out context, each event is connected.
Catching your house on fire then hoping on your couch and watching some TV and thinking it doesn't make it to you.
If we ignore it it will not go away.
So you got choices to make, follow those who lead or make the appropriate changes for yourself.
