Chindia Poem by Leonard Dabydeen

Chindia

Zao aur Zindy
no matter to me
now my name-change
is massala- mix in belly- dance
I am Lou Low Singh
and you
now Sita Ram Lee
what’s in it for me
if I come from Shanghai
and kiss you in Mumbai
and here I dream
to see you
in Canada
holding one hand in China
holding one hand in India
just like in Guyana.
