Child And Sea Poem by Jeri Martindale

Child And Sea

I watched her from afar walking down the sandy beach, she looked so full of life as she held her arms out to the sea. She was shinning as bright as the sunrise that slowly began to gaze at her from behind the morning clouds.
She had come to play with the sea, running away as it splashed on her barefeet. She wore the most beautiful smile; one that could only be pocessed by a child. She had not a care in the world at this moment in time, laughing, running enjoying her moment with the sea, taughting the waves so innocently.
She was so in tune with her surrondings that she could close her eyes and still see the sun rising above the peaceful sea; looking into her mind, tranquility, breathing in the fresh sea air that played around her happily.
She sat down on the sandy beach, the sand was warm beneath her loving hands. Once again her smile appeard as if the sand tickled her and whispered in her ear.
The sea calls her name as she sat patiently, staring out into the blue, listening to it speak; revealing to her its secrets of exstacy.
The sea seems to be the power she holds inside, showering her with radiance keeping her shining bright.
