Chasing An Illusion Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Chasing An Illusion

Chasing an illusion through time, not wanting to come
close or even touch it.

Being - just enough to want, yet remaining as foreign
as images of someone else's mirror.

Steadfast in nothing, true to no one idea, a ghostly
illusion always beyond, never having been there, it
disappears.
