Can I Forget? Poem by Soumita Sarkar

Can I Forget?

Rating: 5.0

Going back was impossible
To forget seems impalpable
The happy notes vibrated,
in your company it gyrated.

Some shared music still,
my silence thus gets filled.
Broken faith that I faced
Makes that union a waste

Lost ego in same terms
You must get it all confirm
A lie that slipped from eyes
In a different costume dyed

Broken twigs of broken tree
Grip that got loosen free
If a bad blood was shared
it must not again be cared

Nights reel in solemn shades
with pure thread of love's bond
Promise to awake and unmade
New love from hell and beyond

A fabulous poem. This poem flows from very first word to the last word like a murmuring river...appreciated.5 stars.
