Camera Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Camera

Camera

What is a camera?
A dark box and an eye
We too are cameras with two eyes
Human and the birds, animals
Even fish and lizard, also worms
(In a way)
Everyone who passes
Everything that happens
Enters box through eye
This is life.

Life is more attractive
When looking at snow
And at rain and the heights
Even at sea, skies
Include the nymphets, Aphrodite

Look at leaves
Germinate, grow young and green
Wide and thin and shady
With the bones and the veins
In all shapes and designs

See the sea with the waves
And the sharks and the whales
And dolphins, they play
And the fish at surface or seabed
Jelly fish and tortoise and crabs

What is a camera?
Just a box with an eye
That is us; we’re spiced
With feelings and the love

Let’s see them when eating
And observe when in rush
Beauty in them all
Girl made-up, her hair long...
