Cairo To Sanaa Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Cairo To Sanaa

Cairo to Sanaa

Though barefoot and hatless
-have the world in pocket

It was same in old days
-with crops and the seeds
-when salted and roasted

Grandmas gave handful
-in skirts and pockets

Playful and painless
-of the life, what happened
-we took them between teeth
-broke them, chewed on them

History, ancestors
-the plains and mountains
- Fereidoon, Azhidehak to Jamshid
-and Darius and Cyrus and others.
-to books of Herodotus

And later
-the Arabs and Islam
-in lands of Rome, Iran
-to today's massacre in Texas
-to Yemen where people
-are like wheat in summer
-harvested by oil sold
-to US and the world
-to dance-sword
-of Trump
-and selling armament
-bombers and the planes
- (The U.S. advancement? ? ?)

To "Woman who flipped…"
-for showing mid-finger
-to Trump's motorcade
- "got fired…"

To missile of Yemen in Riyadh
-being shot by US anti-gun?

To arrests by the King! ! !
-families, relatives
- (that revive memories
-of Iraq and Kazar…)

I have world in pocket
I have world in pocket
I have world in pocket

And find them all B. S.
And find them all B. S.
And find them all B. S.

Feel like best for the time
-is being anarchist
- returning to times when
-our best was fist-fighting

I have world in pocket
I have world in pocket
I have world in pocket

And find them all B. S.
And find them all B. S.
And find them all B. S.

Go to hell all of you
-White House and
-Jamaran in Tehran
-to Dawning, Cuba
-to castle "Kremlin"

I have world in pocket
I have world in pocket
I have world in pocket

And find them all B. S.
And find them all B. S.
And find them all B. S.

Love to be "Anarchist! "
