Cake Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Cake

Cake

Full of joy, in wonder
Badly I, needed help.

For start sent some texts,
Penny is cake maker,
Sought her help.

Not knowing my reason,
Worriedly, she answered,
Felt her voice, infectious.

"No worries my friend, "
I hurried and calmed her:
"For a cake, I need help."

With the helm in my hand,
I went on, explained:
"I drove to Delta,
Stopped at some garden,
Pictures, my intention,
Came woman, I feared,
That she might object it,
Garden was private…"

I stopped and could paint,
Shocked Penny with her hair,
Standing on its tail…

"She took me for a tour,
I spoke with husband,
She showed me flowers,
And I was like camel,
Thirsty and in desert,
Felt seeing cold water,
Kept taking more pictures."

Penny's chest was like jail,
To her words and breath.

"Want to buy them a cake, "
I said and sought the help.
