Cafuné Poem by Benitto Pavithran

Cafuné

I was lost in space and time
Unable to grasp what was happening
Was it zeal, love, or a manifold joy
I still wonder bewildered in your awe

Like diving into oceans of mysteries beyond
Like being smothered by clouds of heavenly breeze
You lay in my arms, part aware part not
I still remember humbled in your reverence

And with strokes of an obscure desire
My thoughts swept across meadows of green
Strolling through grasses of serene divinity
I still ponder mesmerized in your elegance

Oblivious to the monotony of time beside
We lay there beneath that blanket of stars
And impervious to the tools of a ruthless enigma
I still adore entangled in your mystique
