Listening to the traveler's woe...
.....upon their journey's leg
Dressed in naked 'wonder'...
...In hope for new life - they beg.
Over many sphere's of trouble - they traveled
.....A tangible body of the whole
Of half-seen vista's with promises
...But the miles have taken their toll.
Across the bumpy terrains of life
.....Near to monuments and tombs...
Tomorrow's steps hold more promises- -
...Far away from the nearly doomed.
Hope carries the traveler on further...
.....Given - near wings - they now fly
Destination's are now within their grasp- -
...Long gone from woeful days gone by.

I've enjoyed your hopeful poem about overcoming disappointments in live and living through uncertainty. I was especially drawn to the image of 'near-wings, ' that reminds me of the desire to fly above it all coupled with the reminder that we are still human through all of it. Thanks for sharing your poem.
Pam, so glad that you enjoyed my words.Thank you! Surely meant it to be hopeful as without hope we have nothing. No matter what, we must always have hope! Coupled with my faith in the Creator - i believe that goodness and mercy will eventually reign over all of the negative that is happening in our world today! Here's to hope for all of us - and a world where the epidemic evil is eventually killed - i think of it as a cancer that is spreading - but believe with all of my heart - there will be a cure - to stop all of the heinous we have to deal with - giving us smoother roads to travel on this journey we call life.

Near-wings....... isn't it amazing when poets come up with a new word that is soooooooooooooo perfect that we wonder why we never thought of it before? Theo, this just might be your best poem... or at least one of your best poems. The state of the human heart is so clearly portrayed here in the stages of its journey through life. We may be a sorrowful lot but we do have sort of a pitiful dignity about our travel to our destiny. Well-done, my friend, well done. 10's and 10's and 10's for this write
