staring at your reflection in the coffee,
just for a while,
nudging your foot yes it's me,
I like that.. your smile,
it's usually empty,
hiding pain is your style,
Friendly chit-chat,
a bit more for a laugh or two,
I don't expect you to forget,
I know 'we' are new,
I won't pry don't fret,
But I'll be here to talk to.
