I have dreamed a dream,
of your beautiful face,
lying next to the stream,
where I chose my soul's mate,

I won't stop seeking you out,
I stop and check all the harbors,
My spirit humbly devout,
but all I find are shallow waters,

My heart in remand,
The relationships askew,
But here I stand,
And I love you,

This love will never fade,
But my heart will ache,
Because the promise I made,
I can not break.
