Bright Rainbow Colors Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Bright Rainbow Colors

Bright rainbow colors

I am surrounded by sadness
The smile has disappeared from face
We were together for years
Now lead life with fears

Main head of family dies
For unknown causes
One dictator is replaced by another cruel
We are like branches to fall

How many orphans and widows?
How long shall we follow?
Blood soaked land and intermittent gun fire
We have only this place to die and live forever

Who shall be our guardian in need?
Let them have their greed
On oil and vast land
We want to be real friends

No more deaths, please
Shower no bombs and rockets
We want now real rainy showers
To appear on our skies with bright rainbow colors
