Breast Fed Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Breast Fed

Sacrificing the expected,
To be the unaccepted self
One is.
Regardless if tears fall.
Afterall...
The time will come,
When others find that being shunned
For who one 'is'...
Has its rewards.
And being ignored,
Provides a growth that shows those stunted...
In ways that delays a maturity,
Fear by others still seeking to be breast fed.
From any available 'crib'.
